Very bad experience at Grande Clinique de Tanger with Dr. Abdelmounaim Achkari.

My grandmother was hospitalized there for one week, and the experience was extremely distressing for our family. After a full week, we still had no clear diagnosis or explanation of what she was actually suffering from. One week of anxiety, questions and uncertainty. The most alarming issue concerned her treatment. Her regular physician had clearly stated that she must not receive NSAIDs because they could pose a serious risk to her health. Despite this, towards the end of the week, Dr. Achkari considered giving her a small dose “to try” and see if it worked. We found this completely incomprehensible and extremely worrying. Knowing that a medication had been specifically contraindicated, we were genuinely afraid that our grandmother could suffer a serious reaction. At that point, we completely lost confidence. Another concerning situation involved her blood tests. Dr. Achkari did not appear to trust the results from his own facility. Blood samples were handed directly to us and we were asked to transport them ourselves to another laboratory, without clear instructions regarding temperature, transport conditions or time limits. We are a family, not professionals trained to transport biological samples. Communication was also extremely poor. When we asked questions about our grandmother’s condition, diagnosis or treatment, we often felt that we were treated as a nuisance. One day around 4 p.m., the doctor essentially told us that people had finished working and that he did not want to answer our questions anymore. For a family worried about a hospitalized loved one, we found this attitude completely unacceptable. This is only a small part of what we experienced during that week. We left this hospitalization extremely stressed and with a complete loss of trust. Patients and families deserve competence, professionalism, clear explanations, respect and, above all, patient safety.
