How do I get reimbursed by CNSS?+
Submit your care sheet + paid invoices + prescription at the regional CNSS desk or on damancom.ma. Reimbursement within 30-45 days at 70% of the ANAM tariff.
What is the difference between CNOPS and CNSS?+
CNOPS: civil servants (80% reimbursement). CNSS: private-sector employees (70%). AMO Tadamon: low-income (100% via public university hospitals). All cover the 41 ALD at 100%.
What is ALD?+
Long-Term Conditions — 41 serious chronic conditions recognised by ANAM (diabetes, cancer, hypertension, stroke, Alzheimer, etc.) covered at 100%. Application via care protocol signed by a doctor.
Is telehealth reimbursed?+
Yes since decree 2-20-292 (2020). A video consultation by a contracted doctor is reimbursed like a regular consultation (70-80%).
Can I combine AMO + complementary insurance?+
Yes. Your complementary insurance reimburses moderating tickets and fee overruns not covered by AMO.
Are dental treatments reimbursed?+
CNOPS 80%, CNSS 70% on contracted procedures (scaling, treatment, extractions). Prostheses reimbursed up to an annual cap. AMO Tadamon covers basic dental care.
Emergencies and special situations
Which number to call in a medical emergency?+
141 (SAMU). Alternatives: 15, 150 (fire), 19 (police). For psychiatric emergencies: 141 SOS Amitié. Anti-Poison Centre: 0537-70-17-21 (Rabat).
How do I recognise a stroke?+
FAST test: Face (asymmetric face), Arm (drooping arm), Speech (slurred speech), Time (note the time). A single sign = call 141 immediately.
What to do if a baby <3 months has a fever?+
Any fever ≥38°C in an infant <3 months = absolute emergency. Call 141 or go to paediatric emergencies without delay.
On-call pharmacy: how to find one?+
Check your city's on-call pharmacy map at sahha.ma/pharmacie-de-garde or go to the nearest pharmacy — they post the address of the day's on-call pharmacy.
Can I see a specialist without going through my GP?+
Yes in Morocco, unlike some countries. But the coordinated path (GP → specialist) optimises AMO reimbursement.
What if I don't have AMO?+
Register with AMO Tadamon via rsu.ma (free or ~120 MAD/year). In the meantime, public university hospitals (Ibn Rochd, Ibn Sina, etc.) and the Lalla Salma Foundation provide free care.
