FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is the due date calculated?+

The EDD is estimated 41 weeks after the first day of your last period (WA 41) or 39 weeks after conception. The dating ultrasound confirms it.

WA or WP, what's the difference?+

WA (week of amenorrhoea) counts from the first day of your last period. WP (week of pregnancy) counts from conception. WP = WA − 2.

Is it accurate if my cycles are irregular?+

No, the calculation is less accurate. The first-trimester ultrasound (WA 11–13) recalibrates the date with ±5-day accuracy.

What's covered in Morocco?+

CNSS and CNOPS reimburse part of antenatal consultations and ultrasounds. Some private clinics offer all-inclusive maternity packages.
