Ce médicament est une pommade nasale contenant un antibiotique : la mupirocine. Ce médicament est indiqué dans le traitement local de certaines infections bactériennes à germes sensibles, les staphylocoques dorés, ces germes se trouvant fréquemment dans les narines. Source : base-donnees-publique.medicaments.gouv.fr - 22 octobre 2025 Elles sont limitées au traitement de : · l'éradication du portage nasal de S. aureus dans les staphylococcies cutanées récidivantes chez le porteur chronique de staphylocoques, en administration discontinue ; · la prévention des auto-infections à S. aureus chez les hémodialysés. Il semble que l'administration continue ait donné de meilleurs résultats que la prescription fondée sur l'isolement de S. aureus par écouvillonnage nasal ; · essentiellement en milieu hospitalier, contrôle des épidémies ou états hyperendémiques à S. aureus méti-R en complément des mesures d'hygiène recommandées. Il convient de tenir compte des recommandations officielles concernant l'utilisation appropriée des antibactériens.
