La bupivacaïne est utilisée pour la production d'une anesthésie prolongée par infiltration percutanée, bloc intra-articulaire, bloc(s) nerveux périphérique(s) et bloc nerveux central (caudal ou péridural). La bupivacaïne est également utilisée pour le soulagement des douleurs pendant le travail.
