· œdème cérébral associé à une tumeur cérébrale, procédures neurochirurgicales, abcès cérébral, méningite bactérienne (par exemple tuberculose, typhoïde, brucellose) ; · choc chez les polytraumatisés/prévention du syndrome respiratoire aigu post traumatique ; · crise d'asthme sévère et aiguë ; · traitement parentéral initial de maladies cutanées étendues, aiguës et sévères comme l'érythrodermie, le pemphigus vulgaris, l'eczéma aigu ; · traitement parentéral initial des maladies auto-immunes comme le lupus érythémateux systémique (en particulier les formes viscérales) ; · polyarthrite rhumatoïde active avec une évolution sévère et progressive, par exemple des formes destructrices à évolution rapide et/ou des manifestations extra-articulaires ; · traitement palliatif des tumeurs malignes ; · prophylaxie et traitement des vomissements postopératoires ou induits par un traitement cytostatique dans le cadre de traitements antiémétiques. · DEXAMETHASONE est indiquée dans le traitement de la maladie à coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) chez les patients adultes et adolescents (âgés de 12 ans et plus avec un poids corporel d'au moins 40 kg) qui ont besoin d'une oxygénothérapie complémentaire.
