Traitement de l’hypertension artérielle pulmonaire (HTAP) dans le but d’améliorer la tolérance à l’effort et les symptômes chez les patients en classe fonctionnelle OMS III. L’efficacité a été démontrée dans : · l’hypertension artérielle pulmonaire primitive (idiopathique et héritable) ; · l’hypertension artérielle pulmonaire associée à une sclérodermie sans pathologie interstitielle significative associée ; · l’hypertension artérielle pulmonaire associée à une cardiopathie congénitale de type shunt gauche-droite avec syndrome d’Eisenmenger. Certaines améliorations ont été également démontrées chez des patients atteints d’hypertension artérielle pulmonaire en classe fonctionnelle OMS II. BOSENTAN est également indiqué pour réduire le nombre de nouveaux ulcères digitaux chez les patients souffrant de sclérodermie systémique et d’ulcères digitaux évolutifs (voir rubrique 5.1).
