Épilepsie Crises partielles simples ou complexes (avec ou sans perte de connaissance) avec ou sans généralisation secondaire. Crises tonico-cloniques généralisées. Formes mixtes de crises épileptiques. Tégrétol convient aussi bien en mono- qu'en polythérapie. Habituellement, Tégrétol n'est pas efficace dans les absences (petit mal) ainsi que dans les crises myocloniques (voir «Mises en garde et précautions»). Manie aiguë et traitement de fond de la forme bipolaire des désordres affectifs dans le but d'une prévention ou atténuation des récidives. Syndrome de sevrage alcoolique. Névralgie essentielle du trijumeau et névralgie du trijumeau dans la sclérose en plaques (typique ou atypique). Névralgie essentielle du glosso-pharyngien.
