Indications

Thyrogen est indiqué pour la préparation à la réalisation du dosage de la thyroglobuline (Tg) sérique associé ou non à la scintigraphie à l’iode radioactif pour la détection de tissu thyroïdien résiduel et de cancer bien différencié de la thyroïde, chez des patients thyroïdectomisés, maintenus sous traitement freinateur par les hormones thyroïdiennes (TFHT). Les patients à faible risque atteints d’un cancer bien différencié de la thyroïde et qui présentent une concentration de Tg sérique non détectable sous TFHT et aucune augmentation de la concentration de Tg après stimulation par la TSH humaine recombinante peuvent être surveillés grâce au dosage de leur concentration de Tg après stimulation par la TSH humaine recombinante. Thyrogen est indiqué pour la stimulation pré-thérapeutique en association avec 30 mCi (1,1 GBq) à 100 mCi (3,7 GBq) d’iode radioactif en vue de l’ablation des reliquats de tissus thyroïdiens par l’iode radioactif chez les patients ayant subi une thyroïdectomie quasi-totale ou totale en raison d’un cancer de la thyroïde bien différencié et qui ne présentent aucun signe de métastases à distance du cancer de la thyroïde.
